Sydney Sharp Blends Afrobeat and R&B on Soulful New Single “PeaceMan”

Providence, Rhode Island singer-songwriter Sydney Sharp has released her latest single, PeaceMan, the second offering from her upcoming album Resonate. Following the success of Ghost in My Bed, the new track continues Sharp’s exploration of love, relationships, and meaningful human connection through a refreshing blend of Afrobeat-inspired rhythms and contemporary R&B.

Written during a rainy weekend in early 2026, PeaceMan unfolds like a melodic prayer, telling the story of a heartfelt search for a soulmate. Its soothing grooves, rich vocal textures, and memorable chorus—“Love’s not a war, the heart’s not a place for a battleground. Will you be my PeaceMan?”—deliver a message of peace, compassion, and emotional openness.

The single was produced in collaboration with musician and engineer Alex Enamorado, whose vibrant production adds depth and warmth to the track. Together, the duo has crafted a sound that is both modern and deeply expressive.

A classically trained pianist, former veterinarian, and college professor, Sydney Sharp brings empathy and authenticity to her songwriting. With PeaceMan, she invites listeners to reflect on the power of love, understanding, and the connections that bring people together.
