Ken Okada Group and YOYOKA Deliver Electrifying Jazz Fusion on “Last Serenade”

Ken Okada Group has teamed up with internationally acclaimed teenage drummer YOYOKA for their latest jazz fusion release, “Last Serenade,” a rhythmically rich and high-energy track that blends Latin, samba, and modern fusion influences. At just 16 years old, YOYOKA delivers a powerful performance rooted in a Steve Gadd–inspired groove, providing the driving force that anchors the entire composition.

Built on a Chick Corea–influenced Latin jazz foundation, “Last Serenade” combines intricate rhythms with melodic sophistication, creating a sound that is both dynamic and deeply engaging. The track features a memorable central theme that gradually builds into an electrifying climax, highlighted by a standout drum solo layered over Murray Low’s vibrant montuno piano section.

Adding further depth to the arrangement are expressive contributions from tenor saxophonist Ben Torres and guitarist Hristo Vitchev, whose improvisational solos enhance the track’s emotional and musical range.

“Last Serenade” has already been performed across the United States and Europe, earning enthusiastic responses from live audiences, including sold-out shows in Barcelona and a featured performance at the Bansko International Jazz Festival. The track continues to showcase the group’s ability to connect with listeners through technical mastery and global jazz influences.
