Una Lengua Infinita continues its exploration of music and storytelling with the release of the second movement from its El tren de Bucarest suite. Inspired by Michel Rouan’s novel of the same name, the piece is presented in a beautifully crafted classical arrangement for piano and strings, performed by the Ukrainian ensemble Infinito String Music.
The composition centers on the relationship between Tereza and Bogdan, two characters whose love struggles to flourish amid the restrictions and pressures of life in Romania under Nicolae Ceaușescu’s regime. Through delicate melodies and expressive string writing, the music captures the quiet intimacy of a relationship forced to exist in the shadows, where tenderness becomes an act of resilience.
Featuring a clear and lyrical melodic line, the piece gradually builds emotional tension and release, mirroring the characters’ journey toward one another despite the challenges surrounding them. The result is a deeply cinematic and emotionally grounded work that speaks without words.
Dedicated to creating acoustic, human-made music, Una Lengua Infinita emphasizes that every aspect of the recording—from composition and arrangement to performance—was created by real musicians. This evocative new release offers a compelling experience for listeners who appreciate modern classical music, literary inspiration, and heartfelt storytelling through sound.
