They were originally scheduled to fly back to California from Boston on the morning of September 11. However, Rocha unexpectedly changed their flight to September 10, just one day before the attacks.
The experience left a lasting impression on the couple. They believe Rocha’s mother may have been watching over them and protecting them during that difficult period. The song reflects that personal belief while remembering the many lives affected by the tragedy.
