Texas Country Music Association recording artist Justin Headworth is carving out his own place in country music with songs rooted in real-life experiences, small-town values, and outlaw country tradition. Raised in the farming community of Ionia, Michigan, Headworth developed a deep appreciation for rural life, competing in rodeos during high school before serving as an infantryman in the U.S. Army during the 1990s. While stationed in Schweinfurt, Germany, he learned to speak German and taught himself to play guitar, laying the foundation for his music career.
Inspired by country legends Hank Williams Jr. and Waylon Jennings, Headworth writes honest songs about backroads, cold beer, and life’s highs and lows. His recent releases, including Backwoods Boogie, Still a Hurricane, and My Michigan Home, showcase his signature blend of traditional country storytelling and modern outlaw energy.
Now producing his own music, Headworth continues to expand his creative vision while performing alongside his longtime friend Wayne Wright. From his small farm in Northwest Michigan, where he raises chickens and pigs, he is setting his sights on Germany and beyond, determined to bring authentic American outlaw country to international audiences.
