Goldskool Brings Raw Storytelling and Vintage Energy with “Conversations Blurred”

South East London band Goldskool is creating a distinctive sound by blending classic influences with modern indie energy. Formed in 2022 by songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist Paul Panic alongside drummer and percussionist Big Fill and vocalist Sylvia Pleasant, the band was created as a platform to showcase Paul’s powerful songwriting and storytelling.

Goldskool’s music combines the melodic charm of the 1960s with elements of indie rock, punk, folk, and experimental pop. Drawing inspiration from artists such as The Kinks, The Hollies, Bacharach, The Pixies, Ian Dury, Bowie, and Cake, the band delivers colourful arrangements, memorable choruses, and lyrics that explore identity, community, relationships, social issues, and life’s many challenges.

Their song Conversations Blurred captures this unique approach with its jazzy groove and smooth bossa-inspired rhythm. Written after Paul experienced personal loss, the track tells the story of finding comfort, connection, and a supportive creative community through music.

Committed to an authentic recording process, Goldskool creates songs without AI, excessive processing, or artificial enhancements, embracing a raw and genuine sound. With its uplifting message of freedom and belonging, Conversations Blurred continues to connect with listeners around the world.
