Eylsia brings a deeply personal message of courage, friendship, and acceptance to her new song, “We Shine.” Inspired by her longtime friendship with Bobby Blair, the song reflects on two people who supported each other through difficult chapters of their lives and continued to find strength along the way.
Their friendship began when they were teenagers at a tennis academy, long before Bobby openly shared his identity. Eylsia remembers standing beside him when he finally revealed his truth, just as he had supported her through some of her own hardest experiences.
The emotional heart of “We Shine” comes from Eylsia’s personal journey through difficult periods in her life, including time in an institution and rehabilitation. Those experiences helped shape a song about feeling isolated, different, ashamed, or afraid, while still finding the courage to reclaim your voice and place in the world.
