Veteran recording artist Dick Cole is reconnecting with his rock blues roots through his latest release, Riding on Fumes, available on streaming platforms since July 27, 2026. The album marks a return to the sound that defined many of his previous projects, combining powerful storytelling with themes of motorcycles, freedom, relationships, and life’s personal challenges.
Over the years, Cole has released 10 CD projects through CD Baby, with much of his music inspired by motorcycle culture, road adventures, bike rallies, and the people he has met along the way. His newest collection explores topics including marriage, emotional struggles, addiction, and the thrill of flying and riding, with rock blues providing the perfect foundation for these stories.
A longtime performer with Northern Virginia bands including Point Blank, OTR, Riptide, Fastrac, and Four of a Kind, Cole continues to evolve as a songwriter. Earlier this year, he attended Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp in Los Angeles, gaining valuable songwriting insights from acclaimed musicians.
Inspired by artists like Don Henley and his love for motorcycle films such as Easy Rider, Cole’s Riding on Fumes celebrates creativity, freedom, and the enduring spirit of rock and blues at any age.
