Soul de Vienne unveils “Fear Without a Name,” a cinematic soul anthem that explores emotional manipulation, silent fear, and the moment clarity pierces confusion. Blending modern R&B textures with bold trumpet motifs, the track balances vulnerability and strength, creating a sound that is both intimate and confrontational.
At the forefront is vocalist Gwen Rakotomalala from Madagascar, whose performance shifts from fragile restraint to commanding intensity. Her delivery captures the emotional weight of a story about love distorted by power and fear, encapsulated in her own words: “It is not love if fear lives inside it.” Adding cinematic depth, Italian trumpeter Andrea Guerrini provides the project’s distinctive brass signature, his melodic phrasing enhancing the track’s urgency and drama.
Written and produced by composer Roman Schleischitz, founder of Soul de Vienne, “Fear Without a Name” merges classical structure with contemporary soul aesthetics. Schleischitz explains, “Sometimes the most dangerous fear is the one nobody names… Once you see it, you can’t unsee it.” The single highlights Soul de Vienne’s bold sonic identity, tackling universal themes of power, silence, and the invisible boundaries between love and control, marking the project as a standout voice in modern soul.
