Belgrade-based country rock band Backsprint continues its 2026 album rollout with the release of “Black Silence,” available on all major streaming platforms from July 24. As the fourth single from the upcoming project, the track follows previous releases including “You and Me Honey,” a cover of Van Morrison’s “Have I Told You Lately,” and “My Last Song to You.”
“Black Silence” explores the quiet struggles of self-reflection, confronting the darker corners of the human mind while expressing a desire for solitude. Frontman Uroš Jojić delivers a powerful vocal performance in a deep, commanding register reminiscent of late-era Johnny Cash, accompanied by guitars, bass, drums, and expressive harmonica.
Staying true to the band’s philosophy, the song was recorded entirely live using multiple takes, without overdubs, pitch correction, or a click track. The result is an authentic performance that captures the energy and honesty of the musicians playing together in the room.
Inspired by artists such as Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Whiskey Myers, and The White Buffalo, Backsprint continues to build its reputation for straightforward, heartfelt country rock while preparing to open for American bassist Nik West in Belgrade this September.
