Una Lengua Infinita Presents: El Romance de Tereza & Bogdan

15

Una Lengua Infinita proudly announces the release of “El Romance de Tereza & Bogdan”, a deeply evocative piece inspired by Michel Rouan’s acclaimed novel El tren de Bucarest. Following the earlier movements “Tereza’s Theme” and “La huelga de Tereza”, this composition closes the suite with an intimate and lyrical portrayal of love and resilience.

Set against the gray hush of 1980s Romania, the music mirrors a world where life moved to the rhythm of factory sirens and whispered caution. Tereza, a woman bound by routine and the watchful eyes of a regime, finds her existence transformed when Bogdan—a tenant with a shadowed past—enters her life. What begins as silent coexistence slowly blossoms into a fragile connection, spun from gestures too subtle for words.

Their bond deepens in moments that seem almost accidental: a shared walk under the garden tree, pages of books turned side by side, the quiet comfort of knowing someone is near. When Tereza discovers Bogdan modeling for an art class, a tenderness awakens that neither had dared to name. From then on, their world becomes a secret refuge—wovefrom laughter, silences, and the warmth of two souls finding shelter in each other.

But history has a way of intruding, and the world beyond their door was never still…
