The Marsh Family Release Heartfelt Christmas Charity Single “Keeping the Dream Alive”

9

This festive season, Kent-based musical group The Marsh Family returns with “Keeping the Dream Alive,” their only studio-produced track of 2025. Known for delighting a global audience with their home-produced music and videos since 2020, the Marshes—a real-life family of six—bring their signature warmth and harmony to this special Christmas charity release.

A cover of the original 1988 track by Münchener Freiheit, the song is released with the kind permission of the artists and Sony/ATV Music Publishing Group. The Marsh Family’s rendition begins and ends with a stripped-back, intimate arrangement, featuring the harmonies of Tess and Ella, followed by Alfie and Tom. The track gradually builds into a lush orchestral swell, complete with Christmas bells, timpani, chimes, brass, glockenspiel, and flickering 12-string guitar patterns. Its message is clear: cherish memories, keep dreams alive, and hold on to hope and warmth, taking life’s challenges “one by one.”

All proceeds from the single support Tiny Toes, a charity aiding neonatal and special care baby units in Kent. The accompanying music video features the annual Christmas light display created by a local family in memory of their late son, as well as footage from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at William Harvey Hospital in Ashford. Through this release, the Marsh Family combines music, charity, and heartfelt storytelling to touch hearts this holiday season.
