Musician, producer, and psalmist Thomas Roscoe has released his newest single, “Psalm 23,” a raw and uplifting folk-pop gospel song that captures one of Scripture’s most comforting passages in a fresh, singable way.

Recorded and produced entirely by Roscoe in his home studio, “Psalm 23” combines the warmth of acoustic guitar, steady drums, organ, banjo, and twangy electric textures with a heartfelt melody designed to invite listeners to sing along. The song’s chorus— “He leads me home, bringing honor to His name. Even when I walk through the dark I’m not afraid, for You are with me and You love me. So please, Lord, please Lord, lead me home.” —echoes the timeless hope of the Psalm in a way that feels both heartfelt and modern.

“I was in a season where everything in my life was changing,” says Roscoe. “I felt lost in a dark place, and the words of Psalm 23 brought me peace. I wanted to share that same comfort and hope with others—because as Christians, that’s what we’re called to do.”

The single’s was no accident. “October can be a dark month in so many ways,” Roscoe explains. “Releasing Psalm 23 on the darkest day of the year felt symbolic. It’s a reminder that even when we walk through the darkest valleys, God is still close beside us. His light always breaks through.”

Since its release, Psalm 23 has resonated with listeners across the world. Roscoe’s monthly audience has grown from 3,000 to over 10,000 listeners on Spotify, and fans are connecting deeply with his mission to turn the Psalms into modern anthems of hope and faith.

“I don’t think I can make just one album,” Roscoe shares. “I’ll probably be recording and releasing Psalms until I die—or until God tells me otherwise.” Zi News said,

“‘Psalm 23’ wonderfully embodies the power of faith and music when they come together.” Psalm 23 is available now on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube. The visual theme for the release—light in the darkness—reflects both the message of the Psalm and the heart behind Roscoe’s growing body of work: to remind listeners that true home and safety are found in the presence of God.
