“Million Problems” by John Best-Finding Hope in Music: A Tribute to Daniel

36

As I sit down to write this article, I’m filled with a mix of emotions – sadness, nostalgia, and hope. My brother Daniel, my partner in music and life, left us far too soon in March 2024 due to a fentanyl overdose. We had just wrapped up our music career with the Best Brothers Band, Georgia Rock Band of the Year winners, to focus on his recovery. Our dream was to use our gifts for God’s glory, and we were on the cusp of releasing a Christian album.

Daniel’s passing was a devastating blow, and the music stopped. But as the days went by, songs began pouring out of me, and I’ve realized that my mission now is to finish what we started. As a former member of the Best Brothers Band, I’ve had the privilege of touring and opening for notable acts like Sister Hazel and the Zac Brown Band. Our music was a reflection of our passion and creativity.

Through my music, I aim to spread hope and healing to a broken world, sharing the love of Jesus Christ with music fans worldwide. Daniel may be gone, but his legacy lives on through the music we created together, and I’m committed to carrying on his dream.
