“String Around My Finger” is the second track off Jack Horton’s EP Imperfections, and it’s as fun as it is heartfelt. This upbeat country-pop song tells the story of a songwriter on the edge of chasing big dreams in Nashville—until a hometown girl changes everything.

With lyrics like “I’m playin’ covers at ol’ Joe’s every Wednesday night / Elton John, Johnny Cash and a little John Prine…” the track is not only a love story, but also a tribute to some of country and pop’s most legendary songwriters.

Easy to sing along with and rich in storytelling, “String Around My Finger” captures the charm of small-town love and the timeless pull of great music.
