FANDRESENA, YNG VICTO and NDMC unveil “Refuge”: A powerful anthem about faith and the sacrifice of Christ.

The question echoes: “Who is Jesus to you?” This is the starting point of the poignant and impactful new single “Refuge,” the result of an unexpected collaboration between artists FANDRESENA, YNG VICTO, and NDMC.

Born from a meeting last year and brought to life through a creative challenge launched a few months ago, the initial aim was to compose a song for Easter, highlighting the necessity of Christ’s death so that humanity might receive life. The theme naturally emerged, inspired by Psalm 46, which declares: “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.”

This “dream team” of the Christian music scene—YNG VICTO, Fandresena, and NDMC—was able to bring the project to fruition thanks to an assist from the team at SOS Church Lyon.

A message of hope, forgiveness, and redemption

More than just a song, “Refuge” is a powerful confession of faith in which each artist shares their own encounter with the divine. The track addresses themes of forgiveness and personal transformation, summed up in a catchy chorus:

“In You I have a refuge / When everything goes wrong and I can’t get back up /

I accept forgiveness, sin I refuse / At the Cross, You conquered hell and death.”

The lyrics explore the mystery of God’s love that defies human logic, the journey from a “heart of stone” to a “heart of flesh,” and the call to live a life of devotion: “Easter is the coming of a King.”
