Eylsia Shares the Heart Behind “Wake Up in the Morning”

16

Singer-songwriter Eylsia opens a deeply personal chapter with her new release, “Wake Up in the Morning ,” a song rooted in resilience, loss, and the quiet strength required to rebuild a life. Having faced years of injuries and serious illness, the feeling of waking up alone is one she knows intimately—yet it’s an experience she knows many others share for reasons far beyond medicine.

Her story is extraordinary. At just 14, she won the Irish Open in tennis and seemed unstoppable. By 17, her Irish-Filipina heritage and family ties to Belfast led to a shocking ban from Wimbledon as a so-called “security risk.” She fought her way back at 18, competing at Wimbledon and the US Open, only for an injury to end her competitive career. The loss of friends that followed brought painful clarity, but also perspective.

Eylsia forged a new path in business, building companies and even serving as a college president. Still, music—her first love—called her home. After a Covid-19 vaccination caused permanent lung and vocal cord damage, she feared her singing days were over. Yet through faith, determination, and 10–15% AI assistance developed through her company WorldIPI.com, she rebuilt her voice.

Her supporters carried her to #1 on the Groover Singer-Songwriter Charts for four weeks, a milestone she treasures as she prepares to tour again while expanding her luxury brands, Nicolas of Palm Beach and Real Boxer.

For Eylsia, waking up alone is a memory that still aches—but creating music again is a blessing she doesn’t take lightly. And she dedicates this journey to those who may never fully recover from their own loneliness.
