Originally written as a solo exchange between Koenig and his own reflection, the concept evolved when he invited Nectaria to embody the voice of the mirror. The inspiration behind the song stems from an unexpected and unsettling experience. Koenig wrote the piece during a night spent in detention at Berlin Airport due to a judicial error. Despite the fear and uncertainty of the situation, he turned inward, channeling his emotions into a message of resilience and self-compassion.
Musically, the soul ballad is anchored by elegant piano work from Nicolás López Soto, who also produced the track. Recorded at a studio in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the song blends emotional storytelling with refined instrumentation, resulting in a moving exploration of inner dialogue and self-worth.
