Australian Lawyer Anthony John Sissian Blends Law and Music on Ambitious Debut Album

Sydney-based solicitor, barrister, and composer Anthony John Sissian is drawing international attention with the release of his independent debut concept album, YOU thee ME (THE SEEKER WAS THE SOUGHT). Combining symphonic orchestration, contemporary R&B, and philosophical themes, the project explores consciousness, healing, and humanity’s shared connection.

Known professionally for leading complex corporate litigation and previously serving as Head of Litigation (2IC) Oceania at Ernst & Young (EY), Sissian has also established himself as a contemporary composer, with works performed alongside classical masterpieces. He says the inspiration for the album followed his participation in the Gateway Voyage program at the Monroe Institute, where he experienced a profound creative awakening that shaped the project’s vision.

The multilingual album has earned praise from international music publications for its originality, emotional depth, and cinematic scope. Tracks such as Rise Gentle, E-motion, and The King have been recognized for blending spiritual reflection with innovative musical arrangements.

Released independently through Aurora Sentient, the album has attracted listeners across more than 60 countries and secured placements on prominent playlists. For Sissian, the project represents more than music—it is a deeply personal expression of healing, self-discovery, and hope.
