Quarteen Unveil Atmospheric New Single “Stutter” Ahead of Upcoming EP Breaking Light

UK-based music project Quarteen is set to make a striking return with the release of their new single “Stutter” ahead of an upcoming four-track EP titled “Breaking Light,” scheduled for May 18th. Led by producer and musician Bb, Quarteen continues to explore a unique blend of sound shaped by experimentation and emotional depth.

“Stutter” serves as the first glimpse into the EP, capturing a journey from darkness toward hope. Written during a long and introspective winter, the track reflects themes of uncertainty, resilience, and eventual clarity. Its sound drifts between genres, drawing inspiration from ‘90s alternative rock, drone rock, and electronic music. Listeners may catch echoes of influential acts like The Jesus and Mary Chain and Primal Scream, blended into a fresh and atmospheric sonic experience.

Behind the project, Bb brings a rich musical background, including time spent drumming for Maps and Silver Arm. The EP is mastered by Rory Attwell, known for his work with various acclaimed indie acts.

With its layered textures and emotional resonance, Quarteen’s upcoming release promises a compelling listening experience for fans of experimental and alternative music.
