Nashville country duo Velvet Rodeo are kicking off a new musical era with their latest single, “Raising Hell & Hallelujahs,” released through Epifonic Records. The track serves as the first single from the duo’s upcoming album and is available across major streaming platforms.
Blending country storytelling with gospel influences, “Raising Hell & Hallelujahs” explores the tension between Saturday-night temptation and Sunday-morning salvation. Its vivid imagery of church pews and barstools brings a familiar country honesty to a song about faith, temptation, guilt, grace, and redemption.
Producer Keith Chester describes the track as part of a long country tradition that embraces spiritual themes and imperfect characters. At its heart, the song is less about rebellion and more about the reality of being human—trying to live right while still being drawn to life’s pleasures and struggles.
Velvet Rodeo, made up of Bryan McCoury and Leah Dana, have built their journey on grit, faith, love, and determination. After leaving their North Carolina farmhouse in a 1964 GM Tour Bus to pursue their Nashville dreams, the Josie Music Award-winning duo continue to turn their experiences into music.
With “Raising Hell & Hallelujahs,” Velvet Rodeo deliver a bold and relatable introduction to their upcoming album.
